The 2023 Ford Bronco will now arrive with the option for a shadow black-painted modular hardtop. Ford had originally stated that the 4×4 SUV would come standard with this shadow black hardtop, but this roofing style was delayed. Thankfully, Ford will now be making the hardtop standard for the 2023 model year Ford Bronco. Since its debut, the Bronco has received several updates including a Raptor trim and a wheel kit for the Bronco Sport. Ford has also been busy with its EVs like the F-150 Lightning and Mach-E. While its electrification efforts have been a focus, the Blue Oval has still put time into its combustion engine lineup. For now, we’ll take a look at the 2023 Bronco and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Ford Bronco Will Come Standard With Black Hardtop

The 2023 Ford Bronco will now come standard with a shadow black-painted modular hardtop. This roofing style was initially going to be offered upon the Bronco’s debut, but it was delayed until now. Consumers interested in the 2023 Bronco will now have the hardtop come standard with their 4×4 SUV. The shadow black-painted hardtop is easily accessible and can be removed by owners. Those who have already reserved a Ford Bronco and are still awaiting delivery will have the option to select the new hardtop.

The Ford Bronco comes equipped with either a 300 horsepower turbocharged 2.3L or a 330 horsepower twin-turbo 2.7L V6 engine. Both these engines come paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission however the 2.3L has the option for a 7-speed manual transmission. The 4×4 SUV proves to be highly capable with its unique G.O.A.T Mode (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) as well as its 11.6-inches of ground clearance.

In addition to the shadow black hardtop, Ford will also be releasing a new Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited trim. This trim will pay homage to the original 1966 Bronco with retro styling. Ford has already opened order banks for the 2023 Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited trims. Only a limited number of units will be produced for 2023, however. The 2023 Ford Bronco starts at an MSRP of $29,300 (plus destination fee).
