April 27th, 2023 by

Happen to be in the market for either an Escape or a Bronco Sport; there are plenty of reasons to shop them both. The Ford Bronco Sport offers off-road lovers a compact SUV with natural trail-blazing ability, while the more car-like Escape is available in plug-in and hybrid versions.

Interior and Exterior Design

The Ford Bronco Sport gives rear passengers approximately the same room to stretch out as the Ford Escape, with similar head and legroom. The Ford Bronco Sport offers only a little extra in the front head and legroom than the Ford Escape, making it a touch extra comfortable for the driver and the front passenger.

The Bronco Sport inside has standard cloth seats and a rubber-trimmed dash and console and is available in leather. Tech features include USB ports, a wireless cellphone charger, and a crisp 8.0-inch touchscreen. Whereas the Ford Escape has a light-toned interior and wood-grained plastic trim, and there is a giant 13.2-inch touchscreen as well.

The exterior of both vehicles is smooth and sleek. The Escape has a more car-like appearance with a rounded face and contoured roofline that curves, whilethe Bronco Sport has a more angular look with clean lines.

Size, Space, and Cargo Capacity

The Ford Bronco Sport is about the same width as the Ford Escape, and the Ford Bronco Sport is slightly shorter than the Ford Escape, which might also make it less complicated to park. The Ford Bronco Sport has a smaller turning radius than the Ford Escape, allowing you to maneuver in and out of tight spots more easily.

The Bronco Sport has about 32.5 cubic feet of room behind the rear seats and can be lined in heavy-duty trim. The Escape has about 39 inches of legroom in the back, significantly more than the Bronco Sport. In phrases of seating, both vehicles will be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Ford Bronco Sport and the Ford Escape. The Ford Bronco Sport has a roomier cargo area for placing luggage or different objects than the Ford Escape.

Off-road and Performance

The Bronco Sport can tow up to 2,200 pounds and has a maximum of 8.8 inches of ground clearance; it can go through 23.6 inches of water as well. The Escape does not have the same amount of towing power, but it rides more smoothly and has better steering weight than the Bronco Sport.

The Bronco Sport is a vehicle that is ready for off-roading adventures and is also perfect for day-to-day needs. At the same time, the Escape is best for daily necessities and relaxing drives around the city.

Gas Mileage

The EPA rates the base editions of the Bronco Sport at 25 mpg city, 28 highway, and 26 combined for turbo-3 models, while the turbo-4 checks in at 21/26/23 mpg. The EPA rated the  Escape’s base addition at 27 mpg city, 34 highway, and 30 combined; with all-wheel drive, they slip to 26/32/28 mpg, and with the turbo-4, to 23/31/26 mpg.
