The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Reveals a Menacing Appeal

Not only will the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse unleash the pinnacle of 5.0-liter V8 exhilaration, but the sports car will also feature many intimidating colors and materials. The day of the dark aura and digital age has arrived for the all-new seventh-generation Mustang Dark Horse.
“The sinister and track-hungry attitude of Mustang Dark Horse inspired us to curate colors and materials in a way that underscores the vehicle’s athleticism. We spent extra time on the cockpit, ensuring the look, feel, and function of everything a performance driver could want conveys the performance Mustang Dark Horse is capable of.”

Inside the Mustang Dark Horse
The heart and soul of the Dark Horse are passionate, like the color red but flow through the all-new anodized blue, the lightweight titanium manual shift knob. An underappreciated modification for the seventh-generation Mustang is that the six-speed knob is hollow and will not get hot to the touch during hot weather. Furthermore, enthusiasts who prefer a 10-speed SelectShift ® automatic transmission will find the anodized silver paddle shifters which offer a more responsive gear shift.
At the helm of the cockpit is a flat-bottomed steering wheel distinctively wrapped in performance suede for heightened grip. In addition, the contrasting Bright Indigo Blue stitching stretches across the instrument, door panels, gear shift boot, center console trim, and lid. The Dark Horse adds more depth to the race car mood with a sport-contoured steering wheel that amplifies the digital experience with several button and control functions. The control vehicle functions include drive mode selection, the instrument cluster, and the 13.2-inch SYNC® 4 center stack. It doesn’t get any more immersive than the center stack, which is ingeniously angled toward the driver behind a single piece of integrated glass.
Outside the Mustang Dark Horse, a New Color Awaits
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse was a force but not one that lived to its full potential. So to amplify the sports car’s enticing appeal, the Blue Oval provided the car with a signature paint color. A paint color that paired perfectly with its name, the exterior is mystic yet sinister, revealing a jaw-dropping appeal that screams, ‘this isn’t the average Stang.’ The Blue Ember Metallic Paint reveals unique pigments of deep ocean blue while delivering a warm amber hue for a commanding exterior shift, given the spectator’s angle.
“If color is a reflection of a vehicle’s personality, Blue Ember transforms the Mustang Dark Horse and highlights a natural saddle-color horse hidden inside the strong chiseled fastback’s exterior form. Multiple elements are combined to give Blue Ember its intriguing and stealthy appearance that really drives home how unique Mustang Dark Horse is.”

The all-new 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse will go on sale in the Summer of 2023. Until then, assemblage is underway at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
