With over 12,000 people employed directly by the automaker and nearly 120,000 jobs supported both directly and indirectly, it’s clear that the American automaker is an essential contributor to the state’s economy. In fact, the company’s contribution to Kentucky’s GDP is estimated to be around $11.8 billion.
