One: The Ford Explorer EV
The Ford Motor Company has been successful in selling in the EV market, and they sold 61,575 EVs in 2022. Unsurprisingly, they are coming out with the Ford Explorer EV. This SUV is constructed at the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, so there will be a likelihood of similarities with different automobiles from the MEB platform.
The Explorer EV is a five-seat, mid-sized electric-powered SUV. It gives 15.8 cubic feet of boot space, and when the seats are folded down, it will increase to an impressive 49.4 cubic feet. This SUV provides the space needed to head to the store to get groceries or a night drive into the woods for an epic adventure camping under the stars. Two: What is To be Expected for the Battery, Range, and Performance
As of right now, the official information for the battery, range, and performance has not been revealed. This is what we expected to see for Ford Explorer EV, a 58-kWh battery pack that will be able to hold up to 212 miles on a single charge. Of course, there will be other trims, and it is expected that one of those trims will have a 77-kWh battery pack that is good for a 335-mile range. The third trim will produce 335 horsepower and a 305-mile range. Ford has said that this SUV can be had in rear-wheel force and all-wheel drive configurations. Quick charging will have the Explorer’s battery going from 10 percent to 80 percent in only 25 minutes. In just a short amount of time, the Explorer EV will be ready to get on the road again. Three: Exterior
As Ford is collaborating with Volkswagen, its exterior will share similarities between the two companies. One thing is for sure it will be bold and be packed with safety features. The Ford Explorer will have a 106-inch wheelbase, with inverted angular headlights and a large logo on the shield. This SUV is designed for adventure seekers, and that’s the demographic that it is calling to, as it’s reflected in its styling.
