Ford Unveils New Mustang and Bronco-Inspired Electric Bikes for 2024

Red Ford Mustang and EBike

An all-electric version of Ford’s Mustang is already available with the Mustang Mach-E, and now there’s an electric bike inspired by the iconic sports car. Ford has partnered with e-bike company N+ to launch two new bikes modeled after the Mustang and Bronco, with deliveries anticipated later this year (2024).

While they do not match the power and performance of a full-sized vehicle, these bikes offer a unique and thrilling ride experience. The miniature Ford ponies pay tribute to the automaker’s predecessors, the Bronco and Mustang, and are designed to unlock the passion and thrill associated with these iconic vehicles. With the new eBikes, more people can now experience the adventurous spirit of a Bronco and the exhilaration of a Mustang with the simple grip of the handlebars.

Both bikes have a 750-watt hub-mounted motor that delivers 85 Newton meters of torque, allowing them to reach a top speed of 28 mph. They have a range of about 60 miles, and the battery recharges in just three and a half hours. The Bronco and Mustang bikes also feature four-piston hydraulic brakes and a full-color LCD panel that displays speed, range, and battery life, making them stylish, practical, and convenient for everyday use.

The Bronco bike, designed with a GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) dual suspension system and a motorcycle-inspired seat, is available in the standard Area 51 color option for a competitive price of $4,500*(excludes taxes and destination fees). Ford fans can also upgrade to one of 10 additional colors for an extra $390. The Mustang bike, in carbonized gray metallic, is priced at $4,000, and similar color upgrades are available. A special limited-edition 60th Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively at Ford dealers, ensuring a perfect option for every budget.

This isn’t Ford’s first venture into electric bikes. Earlier this year (2024), McLaren introduced the street-legal e-bikes, while Lotus launched an electric bike last year (2023), and Rivian announced plans for its version. Before these, GMC collaborated with the e-bike company Recon on a model inspired by the Hummer EV.
